A good approach as an affiliate marketer is to create reviews. You showcase several different products of the same type on your website. For example, you could include your opinions and technical specifications on several different types of Bluetooth portable speakers. You give your opinion and list the pros and cons of each. Then you include a link for each… to buy that particular speaker. The trick is, whichever speaker your prospect chooses and buys, you make a commission.
Understand affiliate marketing. Companies create affiliate programs to help push their products. When you become a program member—which is usually free—you can make links to promote the products on your website or another site. When people buy the products through your links, you will get a piece of the profits. As a member of an affiliate network, you can choose to promote any of several thousand products. It is possible to make up to 50–75% of the profit on each sale that results from your promotion.
An example of an exclusive blog post for PHC members only is one I wrote this week about the new Facebook Page Plugin. You may not have heard, but the Like Box is going away. This is no small deal as the Like Box on my site has led to 1,259 new fans in 2015 alone.
Affiliate links were once just links. Remember that. The purpose of having links in any content (and the reason why affiliate marketing works) is because they are useful. They make purchasing the things we want easier. Don’t abuse your online platform by filling your page with spammy, pointless affiliate links. Be sure to create that quality content and only include them when and where they add value. It’s a balance that, when found, makes your viewers happier and earns you more commissions.
The Sharesale network is my favorite affiliate network. On top of having a ton of awesome merchants spanning across multiple categories, they’re small publisher friendly and always have their affiliates best interests in mind. You can sign up to become a Shareasale affiliate for free here.
The phrase, “Affiliates are an extended sales force for your business”, which is often used to explain affiliate marketing, is not completely accurate. The primary difference between the two is that affiliate marketers provide little if any influence on a possible prospect in the conversion process once that prospect is directed to the advertiser’s website. The sales team of the advertiser, however, does have the control and influence up to the point where the prospect either a) signs the contract, or b) completes the purchase.

Google AdWords is a good way to drive traffic to your sales page. All you must do is run an ad in your AdWords account then use the associated link. You will need to measure your conversions regularly to see if the cost of the campaign is less than its profit to keep it running.
Pat Flynn recommends Pretty Link for this. You can create clean, easy-to-use-and-remember links plus get analytics so you can see exactly where people are coming from and what strategies are working best for you.
If you already have your video hosted elsewhere, you might be tempted to simply link to the video in your post and advertisement. For instance, you’ve probably seen hundreds of videos on Facebook that have been shared from YouTube or similar video platforms. Some may even reside on the owner’s small business website.
You’re good and you’re passionate but if you’ve found your way to thePTDC guess is that something’s missing. Either you want to service your clients better or you’re having trouble succeeding in the industry.
She has help many local and international organisations use digital media to create delightful experiences across all touch-points, from design to content to advertising, creating a seamless offline-to-online experience. One of the very best ways to earn big ticket commissions is to promote high end product launches. But there’s definitely a fine art to it so if you’re new to affiliate marketing I would encourage you to NOT focus on promoting product launches until you know more.
Also thanks for keeping this page updated, I notice that the earliest comments are a few years old now but the page seems to have been updated only a few months ago. It’s nice to find someone who seems to care about what they are writing and isn’t just pumping out the same old re-written junk.
