What I thought would be a refresher course for someone who has grown up using social media was so much more insightful. I now have the knowledge to implement a campaign and measure it’s success more efficiently!
YouTube is a great platform to showcase your talent as well as earn significant amount of revenue through affiliate marketing. It has scope for every kind of product and has a huge market to explore. Affiliate marketing on YouTube does not require any special tools and techniques to promote your videos, but only confidence to give exactly needed reactions on camera. You can make millions if you target the right niche and create strategic videos.
The concept of revenue sharing—paying commission for referred business—predates affiliate marketing and the Internet. The translation of the revenue share principles to mainstream e-commerce happened in November 1994, almost four years after the origination of the World Wide Web.
Good point about reviewing online courses before you promote them to protect your reputation. However, I would like to point out that the level of attention the course creator gives you (the endorser) and what they give to a random customer might be very different. There are so called marketing gurus out there who are extremely skilled at making false promises and not delivering on them. Once they have the endorsement of a few reputed marketers and some ‘lucky’ customers, they can easily get away with ripping other people off with hyped up money making guarantees. I have had a personal experience with this as a customer, but lets not mention names! The point is, when we are promoting someone, we need to do an in-depth due diligence. Only going through their course is not enough. It would be great if there was some kind of a course review site -something like tripadvisor. This is something that the industry really needs – something to make people accountable. A lot of people are losing faith in these online courses. I am staying away from promoting people unless I am very certain of their integrity.
When a potential buyer clicks on the link to visit the merchant’s site, a cookie identifying affiliate is placed on their computer. The cookie ensures that the publisher is credited with the referral sale even if it occurs days or even weeks later.
Finally, be upfront with your readers. Add a disclosure to your blog posts or somewhere on your website letting them know that they may come across affiliate links. This adds to your credibility, and it’s also required by the Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guidelines.
When the viewers like what they see, they will click on the video. At this point, you mustn’t shock them with loud, nerve-wracking soundtrack, unless you think your target audience would fall for that effect. If there is a voice presenting your products and services, it has to be pleasant, authoritative, and clear.
Since I do not live in the U.S., I would have to get paid by check or gift certificate. Obviously only getting paid in gift certificates isn’t that great, so that leaves the check. However, checks are not used here in Sweden at all basically, so cashing one comes with huge fees, I think maybe 30-40USD for a check. So my question is, can you choose to “save up” the money you make at Amazon and only get a check sent when you want to, or is it automatically sent at certain amount? I know Adsense has/had a feature that let you “block” payments until you released them. If Amazon has a feature like that, it’d make the check-fee less of a problem.

Ryan Kwa is an excellent trainer and thus comes highly recommended. Please extend my thanks to him again. However, please allow me to suggest two aspects of the training centre which need improvement (kindly take this as positive feedback from a well meaning client): 1) the physical classroom environment (esp. furniture) needs upgrade. 2) As your centre offers quite some social media and digital advertising courses, your website’s look and feel doesn’t do your centre any justice unfortunately. It needs to be more enticing. I am an exception because I made the concerted effort/ took the time to read the course offering and the trainer’s credential in spite of the “heavily worded and formidable” website. The miscounting could also fuel concerns among advertisers and media companies about the so-called “walled gardens” that companies including Facebook and Google are often described as operating. Both companies keep a tight grip on data, and only allow limited third-party tracking firms to plug into their systems.
