Affiliate links are generally pretty ugly. They’re long links, that often go to a secondary domain, and are pretty clear that they’re an affiliate. Download the plugin Pretty Link to make your links look much more friendly.
The ten choices I’ve listed above are the affiliate networks that I’m most familiar with. Most I use today or have used in the past. It’s hardly a complete list of all the good affiliate networks that are out there since there are so many. If you would like to share a network that you really like working with please list it in the comments section at the bottom of this page.
Facebook did its best to explain how the users can create video ads, so it’s not that hard to understand the straightforward concept. The main benefit you’ll get through such marketing campaign is greater reach. Your ad will be presented to the right target audience, so you can expect more likes and conversions.
Build That Newsletter – your most loyal readers will subscribe. They’re also the most likely to purchase things you recommend. A simple sidebar widget on your blog is a great start (if you’re using StudioPress themes or the Genesis Framework, I use Genesis eNews Extended).
I’d hardly done anything during the previous year to monetize Location Rebel (then Location 180), but when this was released, I figured “why not?” and wrote a review talking about how cool the program was.
I come from a quite unsuccessful background of web design/SEO. I blogged because I knew it was good for SEO, but my articles never had a purpose regarding monetization. I finally took a leap of faith and dropped my clients to figure out blogging/affiliate marketing. I was good at website speed optimization and knew hosting was the #1 factor. Looking for the best, I saw SiteGround was rated #1 in multiple Facebook polls and had a great reputation with generous affiliate commissions. So I wrote detailed tutorials on how to website speed… how to configure WordPress cache plugins, hosting reviews, and other speed-related topics. Usually near the end of a post I would say “Oh, and here’s why you should switch to SiteGround” with evidence on why they’re the best… Facebook polls, Tweets, load time improvements, etc. That’s when things got good… I never had money like this so I feel like it’s my calling to help other people overcome financial instability and create passive income through SEO and affiliate marketing.

A burning question on every marketer’s mind is when is the best time to post on Facebook? With so many conflicting studies out there, we decided to roundup the data from as many credible sources as we could find and average out the data. Here’s a chart that outlines our findings:
Update: I used to recommend carousel style Amazon ads, but they don’t exist anymore. When I used them they converted about 3 times better than static style Amazon banner ads. I suggest using Native Shopping Ads instead which is essentially a replacement to the carousel style ads but allows for greater flexibility. You can display products by recommendation from the content, by search or with other options. Here is what the a Native Shopping Ad looks like for the keyword search “Chris Guthrie” Amazon displays the Kindle books I’ve written:
At HubSpot, the average length of video advertisements has been decreasing in the last few years, and this has obviously been a result of extensive testing for the average attention spans of viewers. HubSpot reports that their Facebook videos are around one minute in length.
Different merchants have different affiliate commission rates. In this example, amazon pays a 6% base commission with additional performance incentives based on volume for this type of product. (Update: As of March 1st, 2017 Amazon has made changes to its rates. Read my article here detailing Amazon’s new affiliate commission rates and why you benefit.)
Facebook video ads are affordable even for start-up small businesses. From $1 to $2.5 million per day, you can reach a given number of people to gain brand exposure, make sales, collect sign-ups, and more. You can also stop the advertising campaign anytime you want.
This Facebook stat illustrates exactly why you’re doing your brand a disservice by ignoring video on the platform. With over 8 billion average daily views and 100 million hours of video watched every day, Facebook has become a top player in the social media video landscape.
The video was put up 18 months ago and has averaged 1,800 views per month. The YouTube pre-roll video ad makes around $10 to $15 per month, but the real money comes from sales of the ScanSnap 1300 scanner I recommend in the video. The affiliate link is embedded both in the description and in the video itself. When a user clicks the link and buys the product from Amazon.com, I get a commission.
Many affiliate programs will often run promotions with good discounts or giveaways that might be attractive to your audience. For example, if you’re an Amazon Associate and the site have a big Holiday Sale, it would be the perfect opportunity for you to promote discounts to your website visitors. This is a great way to your offers while also providing good value to your audience.
Whether you are making a video on the common subject or for the purpose of affiliate marketing, few things are needed to get success to get a perfect video. There is a difference between a content creation and a video production. For a blog content, you don’t need to show your confidence to build the trust factor, but if you are making a video, you need smart approach towards the subject so as to gain audiences trust.
Amazon spends millions of dollars on improving the way they get people to convert. The fact that they provide a custom user experience for every person that goes to Amazon.com based on the buying behavior and viewing patterns tells me they know what it takes to close a sale. Some of the best closing advice I can give is to simply find ways to get your visitors onto the Amazon.com webpage and they’ll take care of the rest.

Customer belongs to the merchant.Your stats will let you know how many sales where made of what product, but in most cases, you’ll have no information about who made the purchase, which makes it difficult to market for re-sales.
